swirls
#1
I waxed my 2002 WRX a few times using recommended wax. It looked great until the sun came out and revealed the tiny swirls all over the paintwork. I am really frustrated. Does anyone know how to remove permanently the annoying swirls and can recommend a good product? Thanks.

You'll get fed up hearing "Wax Wizard", but it really is the best.
He does three cleansers; no.1, no.2 and no.3, or light, medium and heavy as i think they're now called. They will remove swirl marks and any other junk on the paintwork.
Best all-round one is number 2. And no wax that WW sell will leave you with swirl marks, unless you're applying it with a brillo pad. WW do supply cloths etc, or Autoglyms polishing cloths do the job just as well without being too coarse to affect paintwork.
Hope this helps.

Best advice would be to buy a silver car and never polish it.
I learnt my lesson by owning a DBM Impreza for two years. Even though I am probably the most careful person it was soon covered in swirl marks. Every little scratch and mark on that car was caused during washing/drying/polishing.
Dark cars (especially black) are terrible for showing swirl marks.

Ive got the same problem on my WR Blue My01.
The car is only six months old as well so i am not please.
Surely if you are using good quality polish this shouldn't happen?
Probably something to do with the excellent subaru paint job.
