Hello guys
Taking my car to the garage for an oil change any recommends for the best for a 1999 subaru impreza turbo running a 2004 sti motor. Heard millers nano is good also which one ie 10w 50 etc

depends on exact spec but Millers CFS10w40 or 10w50 IMO..................

the NT version is an excellent upgrade over and above their std range

possibly a bit late for tomorrow (unless your local to us) but we always have discounted prices on Millers and Motul...........

AS Performance are great for millers, I'm using millers CFS 10w40 in my 03 blob STI.

5w40 fully synthetic though a good 10w40 or 50 are just as good, avoid the 10w60's, takes far too long to warm up and doesnt provide as good protection as the others.

only true of some of the poorer quality 10w60's and even then depends on your use.............dont rely on every "copy & paste" post on the net....

the Millers CFS and newer NT multi-ester 10w60 is the boy full stop

as for costs then best to call the office (0191-4103770) but general deal is £45inc./ std CFS and £57.50inc./5ltrs CFS NT - delivery would depend on your exact location

Ah but Alyn, the fact in cold conditions the 60 is too thick it doesnt provide enough protection, even in hot conditions, it all depends on the engine and how much heat it can produce to get the oil to its optimum operating temp, thicker is not always best, the better flowing oils are in 99% of the cases, much better at giving protection to the engine

10w60 is perfectly fine in the right vehicle, you've no doubt read far too many scaremongering posts (IMO) on the 'net, after all in very basic terms the 10w part is the cold viscosity

I am based in jersey c.i. Je3 1pr Unfortunately makes it a nightmare for parts anyway can you pm me a price for the 10w60 millers nano tech 5 ltr bottle think that was the one you seem most positive about ? posted chees I am assuming 5 Ltrs is enough to fill when changing oil ?

to clarify i didn't mean the 10w60 was correct for every application

you require approx 4.5lts for an oil and filter dependant on exact age/spec of car...........
