WARNING.. Do not deal with Davidscooby
Just a quick heads up to sellers/traders.
I sold a gearbox, Exedy clutch kit and driveshafts to Davidscooby a few days ago. The gearbox was from a running car I used myself for a week, the car was bought from a user on here and on SS.Net who I know and trust.
All arrived fine, David text me to let me know apart from the driveshafts were non ABS.
Fast forward to yesterday and my Paypal account buggered up with Davids money frozen in my account. I asked him if it was ok to issue him a refund and Id send an invoice from my merchant account for the balance minus £30 for the driveshafts which he agreed to and agreed to pay.
Refund was issued last night and an invoice was sent for the balance to be repaid.
I text David this morning to see if the 'box had been fitted which he confirmied it had and he'd drove the car home and to work this morning.
Got a text this evening to say there was a puddle of oil under his car and I wouldnt be receiving payment for the gearbox as it would now need removed and rebuilt.
Now, this was removed from a running car I drove myself. Still motd and taxed.
I offered a replacement to be send FOC, to which he declined.
I offered to have the gearbox picked up and returned to me so I could repair it myself and he could keep the clutch kit for his troubles and he could source another gearbox as hed already been fully refunded, to which he declined.
He did offer me £50 for the clutch kit but when I asked for a one off payment of £100 for the clutch and gearbox, his reply was ''no mate, £50, take it or leave it or Ill ignore you altogether''
Ive declined his offer of £50 and let him know Id be posting this up to warn others.
So basically Im £300 down as David has been fully refunded but refuses to send my parts back even though the 'faulty' gearbox will be removed anyway.
I still have the delivery address which was Vauxhall Turbo Spares and will be posting this on Vauxhall forums as well as a warning to others.

worlds full of ***** isnt it. The funny thing is that because people sell on forums, they think there invincible. My advice would be, send the boys in blue round because you have been clearly robbed.
If someone stole your wallet from you containing £300 cash, you would call the police then. So whats the real difference?

Honestly though look through his old threads, he's bought a few things off people on here in the past, just ask them to look at their paypal history for his address and take a trip down there and talk it out like adults
