Help: 2003 impreza wtx sti- 350bhp sudden power loss
Hi, i have an 03 subaru impreza wrx sti 350 bhp with full stainless steel exhaust and k&n and some sport fuel pump
Just bought the car and new to these subarus, for some
Reason it skips a beat when i put it on high boost, but only does it when i get into 4th or 5th gear.
And today i hit 130 on low boost and sudden loss of power.
Help would be appreciated as guys on here are pretty clued on 😊

Or it could be that teensy weensy restrictor pill in the line, like mine turned out to be after several hundred pounds spent not finding it.
Suggest you repost in the Techy Forum, they'll be on to it pronto.

The car has been mapped by andrew carr or someone, and someone was tellin me my dump valvle was leakin boost. Can that be it? Its ok most of the times but sometimes on high boost it has a sudden lapse of power and comes back straight away. And my boost gauge is not connected for some reason and i have a switch which says on or off, when its on its meant to be 350bhp (which i think it is cuz its RAPID lol). So when i switch that on it sometimes does the sudden power loss for a second or two, and the motorway thing happened on low boost with the switch turned off and it had a sudden loss at 130mph!

could well be leaking boost, as said above get it checked over by a specialist, also dont give it the beans untill you find the fault. the symptoms your describing sound like boost cut, basicly the engine trying to protect iteself from damage. It's not a perfect system and its reactive so damage could be done before it pulls it back.
