Cars worth more in parts than scrap but limited market due to non turbo, can't you get it valeted and cleaned and sold on as a good "work horse"

with the SORN rules now including insurance the whole dynamics of car ownership is changing

(and these SORNS are enforced)

especially at the margins (cars with a value under 1500k)

rather than an asset (albeit a low value one) they can become a financial liability

especially if you have to re tax and insure the car

even good reliable cars are basically scrap (especially ones that are not suitable as first time cars for teenagers) -- in fact if you are not careful you may find yourself paying for soemone to take it away

Thanks for input so far, been quoted £200 for scrap value ( including take away) is this still the best way ?

Do you have time and place to break it? Earn more that why but it will take time to sell and time to take apart.

Is it MOT'd and taxed ???

You'd be amazed at what a full and thorough valet can do, probably cost the best part of £100 but will transform it.

Swap the interior for a standard bugeye wrx set (around £150 on ebay and a straight swap) and get a quick valet, then chuck it on ebay. Assuming mechanically its sound then you shouldnt have any issues shifting it.

how do you stand legally if your car is being broken at your address, surely the sorn rules still apply?
