Default Scoob on pistonheads

What does everyone make of this?

Can you really make 325bhp on a stock intercooler?

Doesn't really say much about anything in the add, but I'm interested.

1996 V4 ...I don't think so it would be 1998
Think he's made up the 'STI-R' name as well

It's a mish mash of parts from quite a few Imprezas what I can see

Yes Badger it's an import

yes, a stock classic sti intercooler is good enough for 325.

Looks like a STI V3 to me and regardless of the stickers etc its pretty cheap. Remove the stickers and that awful roof scoop and you could be onto a winner.

Odd thing is that it has a UK steering wheel as the V3 had a 3 spoke Nardi wheel.

Yep, for some strange reason someone has fitted a uk wheel. Deffo a V3 sti in my opinion.

Sti seats, strut brace, rear lights, wing badges, speedo, rear wiper, elec mirrors, elec aerial etc etc.
Its either a sti v3 or a wrx thats been turned into an sti rep.

i doubt its making 325bhp unless its got a simtek/apexi etc as the standard ecu isnt mappable.

Standard ecu is mappable, just requires a piggyback chip. ESL for instance.
