Anyone heard of Performance Union trader in Lancashire?
Dear All,
I am planning to look at an Wrx Still from this trader / dealer this weekend called Performance Union based in Lancashire. I found them on piston heads
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/dealer/716982
Has anyone heard of them or brought a car from them. What's weird is that they don't even publish an address? My web searches has found no reviews of them.
I found out that there address is
Unit 4
Chapel Street
BB2 2EQ
When I contacted them for a compression test and etc, he said that they were close to Cams Performance which is a Subaru specialist? And he will go with me to this specialist for peace of mind.
Can anyone offer any further info?

Never heard of them but their cars look tidy. All quite low mileage.
Might be a good idea to give CAMS a shout if they're local as they're an honest seeming bunch and might know something.
If you still can't decide then pop down and have a look at the cars. If you know what you're looking for you'll know if you're getting a good car or not.

I just sold my rx8 and was planning to buy one this weekend.
The 05 sti is 1k more and has more miles unless your talking about the 9k 05 sti? I think my budget can't stretch that far as i want keep some spare funds for tyres, brakes, service and etc.
I will also be going to Redline performance in Manchester.

Also i will be going to Deeside to see Mcd Cars

Well went to Performance Union and this is not positive or negative at the moment.
As with all dealers the ads are exaggerated as they are sales men's. the car has some age related marks such as, minor parking dents, scratches on the front bumper, scratches on the dash, some marks on the seat. Also the last two services are not from a main dealer and the invoices are missing even though the stamp is in the book and there is no record of a Cambelt change.
Anyhow took the car to Brian at Cams Performance and he guarantees the engine, he said compression was'nt an issue and the engine is fine, he also test drove the car and check the car underneath.
For the guys at Performance Union they were very nice and what company recommends taking a car to a wrx specialist and waits with you for 1.5 hours before Brian has even looked at the car. It shows that they have faith in the product.
So I left a deposit and will be picking the car next week. They will get Cams to change the Cambelt and kit, major service, diff oils, gearbox oils, plugs and will valet the car, and try to find copies of the missing invoice.
I will report back once I have the car to see if I have made a mistake to a good move. This company according to one post on the lancer register website used to be known as Falcon x43 but its not clear if they are safe or not as one buyers views can be misleading and happy buyers may not post. Anyhow I will report back but Cams giving the ok as made it better for me to buy the car.
All that is left is to collect it and then get the dents and bumper fixed.
Regards.

Anyone had any dealings with c performance?
Good or bad I'd like to here from you.
I bought a car from him seemed like a decent kind of bloke till I was nearly home and it developed a bottom end knock, contacted him and he said I don't give warranty yet I've been told by law you get a warranty.
Let's here your views

I was the person who posted originally and after having the car for a year I can report back.
The guys at Performance Union are a nice chaps.
But there adverts are misleading. My advert listed no knocks from the shocks but on the drive home this is what happened.
Secondly I paid them to do a underseal of which specialists such as fb tuning and ignition motorsport have commented it is the worst underseal they have seen.
Thirdly the advert highlighted it had a apex air filter but when Brian from Cams did the service after I had brought it, it turned out to be a standard oem part.
Obviously I have had to get all this sorted.
I suppose there are worst dealer out there and I had Brian from Cams check it out before I brought it.

Thanks lads sorry for the late reply but my life's been a bit hectic lately.
Cars now done and done nearly 500 miles since Darren put in a new crank, rods, shells and hone amongst other bits n bobs.
As to Cheshire Performance I nearly bought the white v8 with the spec c suspension but it had just sold as I was on the phone(my luck)
Looking forward enjoying the car once run in.
