Metasat top up problem
Tried to top up credits on the the annual required system before the the expiry of the years amount. No joy Metasat/Octotolematics website allows you in but fails at the last stage to direct you to the the payment section - worked fine 11 months ago and took the the 100 Euros. Not so this year.
Contacted UK Octolematics in Droitwich to report problem but nil heard since.
Anybody else had a problem or suggest solution .No official credits left now as site says expired last week.
Thanks in anticipation

Had same problem last year. Emailed them and it worked a few days later but never got my email acknowledged. I also had problems with the data from the car. Like said car was doing 600 mph. Think the system is pretty poor but appears to be working at the moment. I wonder if it is down to GPS jammers.

I text my unit to find out status and no response. In nearly 2 years only worked half dozen times.
Biggest pile of dog poo ever IMHO
IF I'd have paid for it I'd have made my subaru fit through their letterbox
Utter Crap if I go on holiday i will only no if its stolen when I get back. Waste of time. Should be done under the trades description act.
Diabolical ****e I would put a pineapple on a SDS Drill and insert it in a Octmantics salesman but with no Vaseline
Tony
Ps perhaps not quite so happy with it

I'm having the same problem, I just rang them and they said they're aware of the problem and are currently working on a fix, but it won't affect the service or renewal if the credits expire whilst the service is down....if it wasn't for the fact it's so cheap and required by most insurers, I wouldn't bother.

I went away this Friday...3.40am I get 2 texts saying my alarms triggered (slept through texts) after getting up seeing texts and phoning home to check on car I get another 2 texts saying alarms going off...then I realize the alarm trigger date is 3 days ago.Went online to their website..it froze my pc up.Texted my car twice for a status update..still waiting 2 days later.Yes Metasat is a pile of crap...As an edit the alarm wasn't triggered 3 days earlier either I think Metasat imagined that

Ok quick question. I recently picked up a saloon so assume it had this fitted as standard. First question I assume I need to call up and register it in my name and second question what are the fees and lastly is there any point? So I just fit a tracker from a different company

2. 100Euros per year
3. Down to you, personally I'd go with an alternative tracker system based on the problems this company appear to have.
Most insurance companies seem to want some kind of tracker these days.

Cheers urban. End of the day I think it's more the insurance companies want it never bothered with it before. Might just pay the euros as the cost will be cheaper than having to pay for a new install and year subscription
