The best place to get rear spoilers
Hello I am new to the car mod game and need some advise. I have a 2005 Subaru impreza WRX 2ltr turbo. I have had it for just over a year now and made a couple of mods but I am looking for a WRX spoiler to replace my stock one. Does anyone know where the best place to get this from? Thanks

When you say WRX spoiler, do you mean you wish to replace the low boot aerofoil with a full high level STi model rear wing?
The WRX came with either no spoiler at all and a rear brake light in the back window, or an optional Rear low level aerofoil. If it was factory fitted, then the rear light was in the aerofoil and deleted from the rear window.
You can tell if it was dealer fitted, or aftermarket because the rear window light is still there.
If you wish to fit the STi wing, remember the WRX one is bolted by four bolts, with two clips. There is an extra hole in the right side for the grommet and wiring for the LED rear brake light. The STi has thirteen holes for the bolts, four clips and a total of 17 holes in the boot lid for these, which are not easy to drill in your own boot.
It's best to get a whole boot and wing from a breakers, plus the stronger torsion bar boot springs so it doesn't try to guillotine you every time you open it!
There are usually a few out there and you can usually get the right colour too with little difficulty.

Alcazar, they can crack, BTW. Mine had small hairline cracks in the top corner when it came, which were filled and painted as it was in need of painting anyway. I put a pair of Stiffis on so it won't happen again.

There are only two models of spoiler from Subaru. Anything else is non standard. Prodrive did one as well, but as everyone wants the Sti one anyway, any non O.E. spoiler will devalue your car (if there is any value in our cars now with the cost of fuel!!)

Yes, the original O.E. recirculating one!!!
If you really do have to have a Chav Trumpet, then Forge do the best ones. Bailey dump valves are really great for holding doors open though!
The O.E. recirc is good for SERIOUS horsepower, i.e. 400bhp on STis and only when a Front Mounted Intercooler is fitted do you have to use something else.
After market ones can leak and go out of adjustment. Plus hte fuel injection is not programmed to cope with the air leak so you can get a very rich hickup as the throttle opens and the air it thinks it has is dumped overboard.
Golden rule for engine mods- ask a proper tuning shop first and always get the car mapped straight after you make mods. Many a Subaru has killed it's engine through unmapped tinkering.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Not cheap fibre-glass that cracks and breaks. Light weight so you don't need the stiffer torsion bars, mines fitted with Tiger Seal and the 4 standard WRX bolt holes (no extra drilling required) and it's going nowhere, excellent quality and fitment and obviously can be sprayed to whatever colour you like.
Mine's the black Impreza in the photos. I'm not associated with the seller but am more than happy to recommend them.
