It's sad to see Pole Position breaking 2 P1's. They are getting thin on the ground now, no wonder the prices are going up.
With everyone breaking Scoobies it won't be long before there's nothing left but bins full of parts.

Keeps prices down for parts, which is nice - but that's a purely selfish stance.

It amazes me the quality of even newer cars that are being broken.

the cars dont sell, they are expensive to run and insure so worth more in parts.

I've thought this for a while, just looking through the Subaru breaking section on here reveals a few companies are buying in perfectly running standard and modified cars, even some rare examples like you say P1s, Type Rs etc and taking them to bits when there's nothing wrong with them to make a profit. You can't blame the companies really, it's not like there's a law against what they're doing and unfortunately, especially when they're modified a scoob ends up being worth much more in parts than as a whole car.

It's a shame because it's quite a lucrative business at the moment and the supply of decent scoobies must seem like it's endless, but at the rate they're being broken, crashed and stolen it won't be long before even a turbo 2000 is hard to come by. I get a bit pissed off at the likes of PP, scoobyparts etc when I see a mint rare example being broken never to see the road again for no other reason than money, but I guess the only consolation is hopefully some of those parts are going to keep other cars on the road a bit longer, and I sincerely hope a good condition type r/p1 or even an STI shell is sold on with the V5 so hopefully the identity is not lost and the numbers on the roads are kept up.
