Engine Dressing
Thinking of sprucing up the engine bay a little. Might go for some light weight pulleys. What else would look good. I dont want to go over the top, would like to keep it quite OEM.

Theres loads you can do.
Remove the header tank and power steering tank and paint. Boost solonoid braket can be removed and painted easily. Nice easy jobs which look great.
Stainless cooling panel, alt cover, washer bottle cover, fuse box cover and battery tie bar.
Samco hoses for the header tank, power steering tank and boost hoses.
Also add in a nice shiney catch can with red silicone hoses and your onto a winner.

Mmmm..... not a case of Looks v Performance is it?
Especially when the looks are under cover of the bonnet.
How much to make it look nicer ?
Could it perform nicer with that money?????????
(Being a bit provocative I admit, but what have you got the machine for?)

It's the next big thing and as Subaru are getting older especially the classics lots of people are going the show rather then go route
I'm starting the under bonnet but have a long way to go

It'll be money and time well spent in my opinion. I enjoyed making my engine bay look pretty, gave me a sense of achievement and no doubt helped the sale of the car.

I'm interested in this also as my engine bay is a bit grotty at the min what can I use to get all the much grease oil off everything as I was told the engine can't be piwer washed as it can make the timing jump ?
Then I can start adding my clean new shiny bits

Trends are changing under bonnet show is the next big thing at the NBO I predict his year that 59 %of cars on display in the club stands will have bonnets open on show and in the Arena last year we had 80 cars showing off their shiney and colourful bits

I've just got my next car, bought from what can only be described as the perfect 'one fastidious owner'. From 3 feet looks literally like new (very very minor stonechips, probably caused when I brought the thing onto the Valleys). Everyone says how great it looks.
Until the bonnet's opened up - then they take some convincing that it ISN'T a new car. Absolutely immaculate.
The intercooler spray tank is even filled with distilled water to prevent scaling on the IC !!
Good luck with the enhancements and any showings.

Here is my engine bay, there's nothing like a nicely sorted engine bay - it's almost as important as what goes on inside it.
