Default Battery problems

Need some advice on this please lads. Over the bank holiday the battery in my car went flat. This is the second time it's happened as it happened last september while I was on holiday and managed to jump start it, but not this time. I've got a jump start kit which I've connected a couple of times, the alarm chirps and the lights on the dash come on but when i turn the key the engine clicks but it doesn't even try to turn over. To add, the battery in the jump start kit is then drained completely.

I know the 03 Blobeyes are known for their problems with draining batteries but it seems odd that it would completely drain the jump start kit and i never had this problem last year.

Is this just a question of getting a new battery and having done with it or is there a risk of a series problem here that a new battery won't solve? Is it worth taking the current battery to a garage to be tested?

Cheers.

I had the same problem with my Blob, every couple of months the battery went dead, bearing in mind it was a 'Banner' battery which I later found out are Sh*te!! Replaced it with a heavy duty Varta offering and have never had a problem since..

Hmmmm, exact same battery myself. I've just whipped it out and it's pissing all over the battery box. I think it's time for a new battery.

My battery has also gone flat while in the spray shop. They are going to recharge it. My question is once its charged and reconnected will it have any effect on the alarm/immobiliser working ?. The reason l ask is that l had an Audi who's battery went flat and ended up getting an Audi technican to come out as the immobiliser had kicked in and wouldn't let me start it until the system had been reset.

Last time the battery went flat I had to reset the radio and clock on the dash but the imobiliser was fine.

Get a Bosch S4 and you won't go wrong, especially with 4 years guarantee!
