as above ive also had both, personally i wouldnt pay the extra for the trophy, yes they have the sachs dampers, but these need regular rebuilds and arnt cheap. seats are nicer also and obviously there limited edition. I think you will get a very very nice 182 with cup packs for far less. And in my opinion in the road they are superb. Hell of a lot of car for the money

i agree with trails. mine came off cliosport, theres all sorts come up on there. money well spent in my opinion. with the best intentions im going to sell my 172 track car, but it owes me so little, why bother. Ive never needed a daily but if i did id get one over anything else.

Clio 182

Can't go faster or drive a sharper chassis for less money... Period!
Best out of the box FWD chassis I've ever driven with a gutsy engine to exploit. Makes Impreza handling look like an amateur attempt.
I've a 570+ BHP impreza and and a stock 182 ff. My Subaru gets mugged by my Clio in the "fun" stakes every day of the week.
Forget the Trophy, just get a 182 with both cup packs. Job done

I had a 182 a few years ago. Not bad at all, good spec - air con, cruise control etc.
A little peaky IMO, didn't really get going until the timing changed (about 5250rpm if I remember).
Personally I prefer decent torque to peaky power so I'm more than happy with my Subaru.
Also the cambelt needed changing every 36k miles which is a bit gash. Engine needed to be lifted and tilted slightly to do it. That's about the only downside
