Hi,

Need a bit of advice please.

I have a Silver 1993 Jap import WRX on a 'K' plate, 72000 Klms, bog standard
body, including spoilers, HKS exhaust & Induction kit, standard 16inch
wheels in silver.

What I need to know is how much it is really worth, both trade & private,
does anyone have access to the little black book motor traders always carry
?? or has anyone sold something similar recently can they let me know what
they got for it.

Reason being I have just had my insurance renewal in, its currently with
admiral, last year with the HKS stuff declared it was £868, with 1 years no
claims, no points, no accidents, limited mileage etc etc, this year it has
risen a little, I will have 2 years no claims, no other changes except I
will be 35 on the day of renewal and the cost £1498, yep 15hundred quid.

Now if its only worth a couple of times more than the renewal cost will it
be worth going Third party fire & theft ??

Is it worth changing to a new car ???

Can someone who has recently renewed insurance give a clue to what they are
paying and with who.

Sorry for all the questions.

thanks in advance.

Stuart.

Clucking bell!

I pay £680 with Flux for 93 WRX with 17"s, HKS Superdragger, induction, ICE etc etc.

I am one happy chappy! (29 years old in a nice area).

Cheers,

Mossman

Sorry,
you'll do well to get 8-10K, more likely 6Kish 7K at the most. Put it in the A/trader for 9K and you'll get no calls. I've seen K plates on here not selling at 6 and change.

They quoted me more than Bell Direct... £1300.

I spoke to a mate earlier and he recomended a very cheap co. that knew everything about scoobs! he's going to text me the number later.

When he does i'll post......

I p/x'd my minto wrx for £6,500. I prob could have got more if i went private but i needed a quick deal for a pristine sti5 typeR. The wrx had loads of mods and looked like a version 5 sti. I think £8000-£8500 is a bit pie in the sky. I was paying £750 insurance (with barclaycard) fully comp £250 excess, not bad for a 27 year old. Now i pay a grand for the new car, I think u'd better shop around for insurance!
