Hi guys. names Ben, im a mechanic from t isle of wight. Brought myself a scooby few weeks back, its a 2004 blob eye gx sport (boo) non turbo lol, but only 22 with a dirty licence and its the best i can afford haha,
Got a few questions i hope you dont mind if anyone could help me out and probably get a lot of gx idiots wanting to turbo it or whatever, well not that silly but i do want more power (naturally being a bloke)
first off, do classic wrx/sti standerd bucket seats fit new age rails?
2nd, the gx come with 2 pot front brake calipers and single pot rears, and so do the classic? with 277mm front, 266mm solid rear, any reason why classic discs wouldnt fit if anyone knows?
3rd, im after some good lowering springs but seems all i can find are for the wrx, is there any difference, by the looks of it should be same as there the same shocks right?
4th the lights in my dials dont work is this a comon thing and an easy fix? and dose a sti dial set fit?
5th this one is probably just silly but as you probably know gx's only have 125bhp with 8 valve heads dose anyone know know if the 16v wrx cylinder heads is a strate fit? obvs need a bigger cambelt ect but thats no problem and with some piper cams could be fun right? orr has anyone seen cams for a gx?
and thanks guys for reading

1. Not entirely sure but I think they are different rails from classic to newage but they do fit.
2. Classic non turbo comes with single pots and drums. STI will come with 4 pots and usually single pot rears but there are 2 pots that fit.
3. Same fitment for all spec as long as it's the right age.
4. Just take the dials out and replace the bulbs. A 10 min job.
5. Don't bother trying to get power out of this engine there are minimal gains for the cost. By the time you get any real improvement you could have bought a turbo and insured it.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
A couple of other things not to do:
DON'T put a bonnet scoop on it - ********* will think you're an easy target.
DON'T put a fake roof vent on it - ********* will think you're an easy target.
DON'T put an STi rear spoiler on - ********* will think you're an easy target.
And for Lord's sake DO N O T fit a dump valve synthesiser.![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Best of luck and look forward to the day when you upgrade to WRX !
