Default V3 Type R tuning path...

Evening all, just wondering where I should go from here with my car. I currently have full decat, panel filter, 255 pump mapped to 1.2 bar on an alcatek ecu by JGM. I was looking at getting a scoobyclinic sc36 and a set of 550's, but a few people have mentioned going for an 18g variant or even a gt30 on low boost? Just looking at my options really, and calling on you Lot for advice. Any thoughts or experiences guys?

Cheers.

Work out approx the power your after and choose the smallest turbo capable of that power.

The GT30 is not the one to go for.

From what I've read the v3 engine can take 380ish (mentioned by Harvey I believe) it's the gearbox that's the weak point so I hear? Looking to go fast but not so fast it isn't drive able on the road on a somewhat daily basis.

I had this debate with Harvey. 'Some' engines seem to cope with late 300's fine but many don't, and unfortunately its expensive when they break.
Personally, its better to tune on the side of caution if funds are not available to fix things if they break. 380bhp is a big ask for a standard 16 year old engine imo.

Somewhere around 330 is the sweet spot in a little classic imo.
