Oh founts of wisdom.... I've heard that Subaru have a technical support group around Milton Keynes somewhere. Apparently these are the guys that come and inspect your Scoob if there's a problem with it and your local dealer doesn't know what it is. Also apparently, you can ring them up with queries...

Does anyone have any contact details for these guys?

When I had gear problems the dealer said they would speak to them. I must say I thought they were in Japan (implied rather than told that).

Your thoughts do sound more plausible though.

 

Local dealer is now saying that these folks do exist but prefer to only be contacted through a dealer... Oh well. Anyone had any experience of them?

Subaru (UK) do not have a technical centre in Milton Keynes, they do however employ a set of Regional engineers who visit dealers with technical problems that the dealers can't fix themselves.

I believe there are 3 of them covering South, Midlands and North. So I imagine they cover some huge distances and only come if it is really necessary.

They will only visit a Dealer who has requested their presence and they feel it is a genuine request for technical help.

 

Well, theyre gonna be coming out to me as the dealer cant see a warped bumper if i took it off and slapped him around the head with it!.......accused me of having funny glasses......lol
