Thumbs up Love at first spray

Been flirting tonight with a can of Plastidip....

What superb stuff that is. Ordered a can of black and a red JDM hazard switch an took to my centre consol

It is so easy to use and get an even coat I was shocked.. The result is stunning for less than an hours work.

Took the bits out, wiped over with prepaint, 3 - 4 coas and the jod was done, with over half a can left.....

Searching around for more to spray now..

I'll put pics up when it's daylight.....

I got myself some a while back. Was gonna do the center console. Then, i got carried away and thought about doing the a, b and c pillars, and changing the head lining black too....... but then the 2.5 shat itself, so shes in hospital while my paint remains stashed up.

Looks good! How did you get a smooth finish? Mine crinkled I don't mind as that's what I wanted, but when I done my wheels I wanted a smooth finish but just couldn't get it!

Could be best to buy some from jap parts about £180 so pretty expensive! You could make a template cut the diagrams writting out and spray or buy the stickers quite a few options I'm just going to buy the s204 dials get a top look

I'm not going to do anything with them, I like them as they are as they compliment the silver rings on the heather vents and speedo dials.

Its very easy to lay and get a great finish.

Slight rubbery feel is more OEM that aftermarket sprayed in my opinion

Finally did mine the weekend. Will get some snaps up when it's back in the car this weekend.

Very easy to do. Didn't use any primer, just cleaned the surface well and let rip with the can.

Are we still talking about Plasti-dip or hookers?

I want my console carbon dipped in black but can't motivate myself to remove it and send it off, I don't want to drive about without one in. Maybe I should try to find a scratched used one cheap as keep seeing these black consoles makes me want mine done. The black dials aren't cheap but is far better than the transfers

It's great stuff, i did mine too a while back, mostly because the previous owner had scratched the hell out of the original silver finish. Like the OP I also prefer the dials left alone, think it looks alot better than putting black dials on, otherwise there's too much black, left alone it breaks it up a tad. Also when applying, even if u **** it up, u can peel off the error n just go over it again, doesn't matter what you do really, it ends up looking sweet.
