Default WRX 2.0 remap help?

Im getting my car remapped later this month. Its a 2002 WRX and will have the following fitted :
  • 3" Mongoose turbo back exhasut with 4.5" pipe
  • Harvey trick decat uppipe
  • Scoobyworx 255 fuel pump
  • Topfuel panel filter
  • Prodrive y-pipe
  • uppipe and downpipe wrapped

Can I expect 300lb/ft of torque?

Also, does anyone have pops and bangs during high rev gear changes? Is this something that is mapped in on a decat or is it asking for prob

Think you will struggle to get that figure on the OEM Mitsubishi TD04L turbo...

be aroudn 260 -270 bhp give or take, similar torque.

as said the trubo will be well maxed out

also beware of tying to push the turbo too high, a lower power safe map is way more important than a bette result detting due to too much advanced ignition. see a few cars doing it that were suposedly mapped by recomended mappers

Had my 2003 Blob remapped this morning, had centre cat removed/performance panel filter. managed 274 bhp 250 ld/ft. Well chuffed. So 300 maybe possible....

Im not too bothered about bhp but want it to drive well, so quick throttle response and early spool up with good spread of torque across the revs. I was hoping to get a bit more than the ppp pack with full decat system but not really sure what to expect.

I was wondering if anyone had found any problems with pops and bangs at high revs, it sounds cool but is there a downside?

Yes, 300lbft is possible.

Figures of 280bhp+ with similar and higher torque are not uncommon.

Pops and bangs can be mapped in on over run.

You got a good chance.

I had my 05 WRX mapped by Duncan with a full decat and a K&N filter and made 298bhp and 309lbft at Surrey rolling road. Duncan did say that was the most he had out of a TD04 on a WRX

Also 7 months on and still running perfect

Cheers for the advice pals. I had a Saab 93 ttid and this had 300lbft of torque so Id ideally like the same from the wrx. I went for harvey trick pipe and kept the wrx tmic over a sti model as Ithink this will all help with early spool.

I am booked for a map with Andrew Carr on 13th for a carberry rom map and getting the exhaust fitted a few days before. Planning to have it mapped on the road, not sure if that makes a difference.

Does anyone know if a 3 port boost solenoid will make a difference ?
