The "bilt-hamber" stuff is meant to be good.

Very well,I bought there gel that you paint on and it eats the rust away leaving healthy metal behind, use a combination of there products for a triple attack for the best results.SJ.

I'm a Bilt Hamber fan too. I used Deox-C solution and gel to get rid of all the rust on my old Opel Manta and then Hydrate 80, Electrox primer and Dynax S50 to stop it coming back. If it works on a Manta, it has to be good, as they were made from rust at the factory as far as I'm aware!

I've also since used it on various parts of my Blob to very satisfactory effect.
In fact, I'd suggest that pretty much everything they sell is brilliant (and no, I don't work for them).

Joking apart, the steel they were made from after the early 1980s was reputed to have inclusions in it that lead to intergranular corrosion, so it's actually not too far from the truth.

Otherwise, why would a windscreen pillar rot from the inside half way up for example?
