Default look what i found??????

after inspection on the engine today i found this tear in the big turbo pipe that comes off my vf35 under the bottom left of my intercooler on my bug.its 298bhp rollong road everyone says it should be more with my mods , wrx,vf35,sport cat ,sti genome rest of exhaust ,pinkys,sti intercooler,uprated accuator forge,cossie filter ,and remap buy racedynamix........i havent had car long have just noticed this any ideas some sort of metal coming out of pip and the hole next to it is solid behind.........???????????????? maybe im losing boost or power for this reason???????

Can't see a tear at all mate. That metal lug is for reinforcing, (so I've been told), it also gives you a lever to get the pipe back on nice and snug. It's normal mate.

Mate I thought exactly the same although it's not a tear it's a metal handle if you like petruding from the pipe so when you take it off it's easier to put back on and use as a lever to get it on that big ol turbo.

Looking at the pic again, the pipe doesn't look to be fully on the turbo. Have a look matey.

take it off and inspect as my original one leaked from the underside as it was half clamped on the turbo, i replace mines made a huge difference

Pull the cooler off and inspect the pipe.
Its a 15 min job and will put your mind at rest.

Spray some wd40 around the rim (haha i said rim) of the pipe to get in on easier or you will he there for ages trying to get it back on otherwise....
