Default Prodrive cat back exhaust V Standard WRX

Hi all I have a standard my05 WRX
but has a STI back box

I would like to have a bit more of the "burble" from it
but do not want it noisy

would fitting a Prodrive cat back exhaust make a difference
or to loud

will be going to the west mids Weston super mare meet on the 8th
so may be best to have a listen to a couple

I see MattyB has some for sale at a fare price so may try one

would like to hear your thoughts on this

thanks

Yes it will make a noticeable difference without being overly loud. Prodrive boxes sound lovely on full chat

Thanks
would I get a bit more sound with just the Prodrive back box
and is it a direct fit/replacement for the STI back box I have now

Theres only one real mattyB and I don't sell exhausts. The other one is an imposter !!!!! :-)

But to answer your question, yes it will sound better than your current exhaust without being 'look at me' loud.

Prodrive is a Backbox only, they didn't make a cat back There is a small decat pipe which sits before the centre section but the centre section is a standard WRX part

The prodrive back box is a great upgrade. Sounds just right for an Impreza, letting people know its there without being too obscene about it. It is also the best looking exhaust going. A solid well designed pipe that compliments the car instead of a thin rimmed dustbin jobs that many think add to the cars appeal.

I had one on my old wrx with the front decat pipe and a straight centre pipe with no box, sounded just right not to loud but does release the burble,

Did they make two types, as in round and oval?

Should be picking up an oval one tonight to replace my silly loud afterburner!

Yes. I prefer the oval one on most Inprezas unless they have the GB270 rear skirt, then the roud pipe fits perfectly and looks great.

So all I really need is a Prodrive back box
I assume it will be a direct fit to my car as my gar had a STI back box fitted whe n I got it
Sorry if I confused you MattyB with Mattybr5
but all exposure has to be good Got people thinking
was looking at getting the exhaust from this car

Yep, just change it over. Very easy and in my opinion the best back box for an Impreza. When I booked my car in to have it fitted I felt a bit daft as it was so straight forward. At least I only got charged around £15 to do it.

Think the oval tailpipe is the wr sport aftermarket back box which was not part of the ppp, I have an oval tail pipe system and I believe it's a magnex by the codes on it. Removed it to fit my genome

A quick google search confirms there are two Prodrive versions.
