Question

I just had a call from Subaru about an enquiry I made about a car a few months ago. I explained to him how poor the service at said un-named dealer was, how I no longer use them for servicing and how I bought my car from another dealer who bent over backwards to help me.

I thought he was from the dealer but ended the conversation thanking me for the feedback and telling me he'd pass the comments back to the dealer.

So positive I guess that someone is monitoring performance.... does anyone know who might have been doing the survey?

Also from my current dealer I get a comprehensive customer satisfaction form to fill in every time the car goes in.

Why do you not name the dealer?

Before I purchased my MY00, I called 2 dealers, KT Greeen near Otley and FR Pulleyn in York. FR Pulleyn were excellent whereas KTG, after 2 calls, did not even bother to contact me.

Guess where I bought my car from?

As enthusiasts we should tell each other when we receive good, or bad, service, IMO.

Wink

Ford did that after I purchased the two new cars (not at the same time I might add )

I never bought my scooby from a dealer so I won't be getting any call off Subaru

Question

As I see you are from East Sussex I guess one of the dealers you have visited is E O Culverwell?

I went to them to sell my Impreza as they were the only dealer I phoned who were even interested in looking at it. Have to say coming from Surrey it was really strange to visit them as right next to the showroom they sell animal feeds and farming tools!

Not so strange, remember those little pick-ups they used to make? Was a time when you only saw Subarus on farms! Took ours to pick something in London once and the guy who carried it out accused us of being farmers, as he could see straw in the back. Bloomin' cheek.

Lancaster Sevenoaks. The guy never called me back and previously I'd had a couple of disappointing services. Happy to give more details off line.

Now use Gatwick Motors in Crawley and the service is quite excellent. Nice showrooms, good price on my new car, realistic price on the old one. Very good service staff prepared to do some stuff on a Saturday morning. Courtesy car always available normally of a good quality. Were offering an MY02 for anyone having an old shape serviced there.

I thought Lancaster Sevenoaks were pretty rubbish as well went I went there for my first service.

Didn't have anything to compare them with though as its my first scooby.

Oh and I hasten to point out that they were also the muppetts who somehow turned my front brake calipers green/white while washing the car after the service. Nice one, boys.

DaveR,

That would be because they used some harsh acidic wonder wheels type cleaner on them.

Have to say that I have only ever had my car washed once by a dealer and after that I went elsewhere and told them not to wash it at a service.
