Default My Bugeye sti prodrive progress with added xxr 527

Hi everyone,

Not put any pics up before but have to now as i'm very happy having had a busy day yesterday fitting lots of new goodies. Owned the car for 2 years and only covered 2000 miles due to work etc and wanting to build the car gradually the way I want it. Finally got my **** into gear and stopped building up bits in the garage.

Yesterday I fitted my xxr 527 with yoko advan sport on a 225/40/18 and I'm very happy with the end result. She will lower slightly as the springs settle.

Just had tein springs and new brake disks/red stuff pads/lines installed too along with full turbo back exhaust/decats / walboro fuel pump, sparks and fresh oil etc.

After all that she had a wash and I even cleaned the engine bay.

Over the winter I will be researching Turbo/injector options as I'm after 450 bhp and upgrading the ARB's and drop links etc.

I have so many ideas and plans for this car and she's a keeper as she's only on 50,000 miles.

Here are some pic's of when I first got her and how she stands today. Hopefully they will work.

Thanks

I know. Had my eyes on them for over a year now and finally bit the bullet and ordered them few months back. The yoko's have a slight stretch but unsure of the drive quality yet. Really love the look of the rims , look great when driving and taking a sneaky look in the wing mirrors

Nice one guys. Cheers for sorting them pics too. Yeah the XXR range are really good value and I have loved the 527 style for some time. As soon as the suspension settles and drops it should look mint.

Think I will sell my standard rims now , whats the going rate for a set of sti rims, 1 has a nasty kerb dent and the rest are quite good with a few minor scuffs (all repairable/resprayable). 2 need new tyres and 2 have loads left on yoko S drive, any ideas??

After having these fitted a few days now I can honestly say I have found a whole new love for this car again. I have spent way too much time cleaning her since too. I plan on blinging up the engine bay now

I love them mate I want some. I've been worried about ordering the wrong size and them not fitting my bugeye but your thread has helped massively. I'm after as concave as possible and I'm asking do you think I would get away with the ET any lower than 35? Thanks in advance

Based on this post being 3 years old, I'd say you'll soon be at the point where these and Rotas will be out of fashion. Based on just about every car on SIOC and Youscoob having/wanting them it wont be long til they become the lexus lights of the subaru world, along with riveted on arches and stick on roof vents
