Default Changing a handbrake?

Done a lot of things on cars before but never actually changed the hand brake, I've got a STI one to fit, is there anything I need to know before I do this?
Thanks

As above, chock the wheels or put it in first or reverse gear first. Remove the centre console to gain access and unbolt the lever and slide the old cables out. Don't forget to unplug the handbrake switch wire. Very easy job and straight forward. You will then need a 10mm deep socket to adjust the handbrake back up afterwards.
