As the title says really. I'm forever buying bits and pieces for my scoob. And everytime I do, i say, " and that's it now. It's finished. ". But give it a couple of weeks and I've got my eye on something.
Am i alone ? Has anyone actually finished their car lol.

HA! I;ve asked myself the same question and JUST when you think it's complete something else grabs you're attention, your tastes change or parts that wear get upgraded and it all leads to more money spent.....but a car that's more YOURS than any other!

Bought mine with the intention of keeping it as-is. Maybe add original stickers, and get rid of the touchscreen headunit. Maybe dial out a little of the understeer. 6 grand later and I'm not even half way to finishing it ![Lol1](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/lol1.gif)

I found a good way - don't even start.
Then I added stiffies.
Then I got it remapped.
But no, I will not - absolutely NOT - have it 'tweaked' (I'm not mechanically competent and almost always pay for someone to do/sort it).
I hope.

Till the head and bottom end go and you decide forged would be better for future proofing...
and it would be rude to run standard power through a forged set up now wouldn't it...
Cost £4.5k to buy
Spent so far £10k +
Owned 18months
Finished?.... Hell no.

I have to confess that most of my cars have been 'throwaways', a couple of years use, uneconomic repair (more than paid for the car etc.).
I can only remember selling 2 cars in over 35 years of driving !
I understand where you (all) are coming from though.
In my main line of work I always suggest turning a repair into an upgrade.
