Spluttering under boost and running ritch. HELP!!!
Hi all
I have recently had a problem with my impreza turbo 2000, it is spluttering under boost and running really ritch and using so much fule. I have changed the turbo intake pipe, new coil pack, new ht leads, new MAF sensor but still no different. Does anyone have any idea what could be up.
Many thanks

It's stock as far as I know. But the turbo sounds to be working overtime as well.

I fitted new plugs in December so I was going to fit new ones tomorrow. What should the gapping be.

Fuel pump maybe can't cope maybe? Or Leaking injectors? Most new plugs are already gapped

Boost leak? Cause rich running, black smoke, poor performance and cause more effort and noise from the turbo.

I will have a check tomorrow when I fit new plugs. It keeps throwing a check engine light on the dash.

Some said that it wouldn't be that so not changed it. Does the Simptoms sound like it could be the knock sensor

The knock sensor fault will cause retarded ignition and hesitant running, however a boost leak would suit your symptoms better.
