De-tango Blobeye headlights, or someone to do mine ;)

Tubbster did indeed do two sets for me and it was worth every penny and then some! He swapped the covers from a UK set to my JDM HID set and blacked them out. He then put the JDM covers on to the UK set and gave a damn good detango at the same time.
I actually have a spare set now that I will be putting up for sale as soon as my detailer fwend polishes the fronts for me. Tubbster's work:

I was maybe thinking of going a slightly different colour behind, what's your view? Thinking of being different without looking cr@p.

I've just done a set for a pal. Its really very easy Rob.
Remove all the screws from the back, 5 mins in the oven at 50, take out of the oven and split and then remove the inner. Spray it black and then refit. Back in the oven for a couple of mins and then put the light back together.
I added a little extra sealer around the light to make sure it all sealed well.

Sorry to hijack, does anybody know which bulbs are the correct fitment for dipped beam?
Went to halfords but they wanted £60 for 2 bulbs!!
Might aswell go for osram nightbreakers but unsure of size, are they H1's?

Justy FYI as you might want to buy it so make more money selling a complete set or me buy your old offside light and have a complete set (another complete set....) to sell.

will do bud.
No sorry, I bought a replacement and put them on eBay, as soon as I managed to get some Spec C lamps
DO you still have the offside light? I have a BRAND NEW nearside blobeye light sitting in its Subaru Box that I bought off Ebay (bloody expensive but a fraction of what Subaru wanted!) and I haven't decided what to do with it.

Never heard that folk have replaced the lens, but you would imagine someone may offer this service. Probably cheaper to just buy a set of fleabay though bud. I've bought a set off there for £60 last year, and as I only need one as a replacement I put the other on and got £75 for it LOL
