Hi there,

I am thinking of importing my soon to be aquired 1998 Sti from Australia.

Does any one know how much it would cost to get it over here, or relative companies I could contact to find out?

Cheers,

Doug

douguk,
I looked into importing but from japan,
when i worked everything out shipping, duty, port fees, middlemen fees etcetc
it was cheaper to buy one over here.
If you can get the cars at good prices it may be worthwhile.

Might be worth speaking to Miguel of NewEraImports, he is based in Japan but has people in the UK who handle this side of things. I found him to be very helpful.

Doug. Is that an Australian spec. STi or a Japanese spec. STi? I would presume it was the Aussie version because grey imports are generally very difficult to do in Australia.

The Australian 2 door STi was not the same as the Japanese Type R version out at the same time. From

Hi steve,

Thanks for the info...very informative...

It is the Aussie spec. Though with with rally mods...fondly enough, never been off road!!! RamPod Exhaust
Electronic boost controller with in cabin boost control unit... Adjust
boost from 12psi to 22psi (however my current turbo loses efficiency at
17psi)

Waterspray kit for intercooler with dumptank

I am buying from a mate that has to get rid of it, cause he is getting married and his fiance doesn't want it around...so I am getting it for a song...

The good thing is that he has treated it beautifully and there is nothing wrong with it...I currently own a Aussie Scooby 1998 spec...though am getting

Thanks for the info

Doug
