Question

Does anybody know if the MY00 front bumper/head lights and grill fit my MY97?

Any help greatly appreciated.

There is every chance that they will. I have noticed that headlights at least, are the same from MY97 to MY00. Good luck.

You may need to replace the front beam, as these are different on the two models. Ftting an My00 front panel to a My97 beam could caus distortion of the front panel. You may need to replace the beam as well, or fiddle around welding some extra brackets.

It shouldn't be too difficult to do.

David a mat on mine done it last week or shall i say i did it for him, here goes the outer skin of the my00 bumper fits straight on to the my97 beam no problem, the lights also fit so does the grill, the only little bit i had to do on his car was, where the end is secured to the wing the little alloy plates were very loose on the my00 bumper so had to secure them with a aditional self taper, only took me and him 2 hrs to complete piece of cake go for it..

Thanks for that Rob,

Knowing that it will fit, I will be able to change the lights and grill with relative ease, but how do I go about removing the front bumper?

Should I jack the front of the car up to access the necessary screws / clips etc?

i found it easier to to lift up the front with the wheels of the ground or even better of the car, just as it is tight to work in the rear of the sides with the wheels on and you cannot see much
