Default Challenging your car tax

Anyone know how or if you can challenge your car tax? Bother & Father both bought Toyota Yaris brand new at same time etc. Same engine etc. Dads is £30 a year to tax, Brothers tax renewal has come thru at £120. This is 2nd year it has, first year he never knew that Dad was paying only £30.

It should be then. Dvla will know the best way to do it, might just be a clerical error.

You do get first year discounted rates for car tax. Some vehicles i used to tax threw AFRL were free for the first year then it was £220 for a year after that.

If not then there is a discrepancy with it. As a vehicles tax class should be consistent unless modified in such a way ( 2.5 fitted instead of 2.0) and declared to the DVLA and on the V5

Wife's Corsa CDTi - second owner, 15 month old car.

Tax is £30 - oops, no it isn't !
Emissions below 90 whatever, so nowt to pay.

Yet apparently the first owner paid er... £30 for the first year of Tax.

As said above, check the V5.

I might write to them and tell them I swapped the forged EJ25 for one of those Yaris engines
