![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
hi all thinking of having my car re-mapped, any good places around Peterborough area? also my car is running completely standard at the moment and I am wanting to remap for BHP gains should I uprate fuel pump before I remap? also would it be safe to raise my standard turbo to 1 bar think standard 2000 turbo runs .5 bar? would I be better off waiting till I have fitted some more mods such as td05 turbo, fm intercooler, induction kit... any help would be greatly appreciated as this is the first car I would have ever had re-mapped as this is my first turbo'd car
sorry if this is posted elsewhere couldn't find it any criticism is welcome to
I wanna know all the pros and cons... been offered a remap for £175 but think I will steer clear as they only deal with cash and no business number only a mobile... (this is there facebook page) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mobile-ECU-Remapping/240770025946409 they may be good I don't know but don't want to trust my car with a random person I don't know
sorry for long post just don't want to get screwed lol

I'd personally wait to get other mods mate. Assuming you will be doing stuff to the car in the future? If you do other mods it will need mapping again to suit the mods. I would choose one of the mobile mappers from off here.

thinking of other mods but may not be for a while... prob just uprate fuel pump and re-map then take my time sourcing some nice mods and fit them all in 1 hit and get it re-mapped
what sort of price should I be looking for? I was thinking about £350 ish or is that still too cheap? wanted some pops and bangs on the over run too
what sort of gains do you think I could get just up-rating to walbro? it is a 1998 2000 turbo uk spec was hoping for about 260ish for first map running 224 standard I think

also that person I put in my first post who quoted £170 for RE-MAP has just messaged saying he cant find my car on their list so... can they call that a re-map when it would be a flash map from a different car which could be running completely different mods...

Couple of reasons to be honest wanted to iron out the flat spots and just a small bhp gain in the process
still just an idea at the moment anyway not 100% what I want to do yet still can't decide lol that's why I came on here for the pros and cons from people that have been there before

can't you just stick a z4 ecu in pre 99 uk cars
out of a 95/96 wrx as they was 276bhp out the box
I no you can do this with 93/94 wrx's
but not sure about the wrx to uk cars
if you can it will be a nice easy and very cheap 50 bhp

Save your money and buy all the parts and then remap it. If you want to go ahead a green panel filter walbro 255l fuel pump and a decat exhaust or 100cell sports cat will give you more bhp.

1998 impreza`s cannot be simply remapped like other year cars so be very careful of someone who says they can do a remap and i don`t understand the .05 bar turbo pressure as this is limp mode but you could always fit a prodrive ecu for this year impreza which would help the performance.
