Default Adding prodrive pack to my 05 WRX info please

Hi I have a my05 WRX in standard form and am thinking of adding the prodrive performance pack.

Before I get the sell it and buy a STI I will say I prefer the WRX black interior and the softer ride is a must as the wife has back problems.

my main questions are what parts do I need to swap over
am I right in thinking its ecu, pipe work for intercooler and backbox.

Also my car is a malteser (import from Malta) and has a separate cobra alarm
the ignition key has two buttons (open lock) I do not use these as the cobra button unlocks the car and turns the red light by the clock off. my question about that is what do I need to do when I swap the ecu will it work.

not explained to well I know but if someone out there has done this please explain to me
thanks

Hello roley

To be honest for the cost of the PPP you could be better off with a decat exhaust, fuel pump and remap, that will see you to 280ish whereas the PPP will be around 260 and more expensive

I wouldn't dream of paying that, however.

Had my old WRX up to 280+ BHP with a few mods and a remap. Never missed a beat in four years either.

was hopping to pay a lot less your right and I would not pay that
there is a prodrive STI breaking in the for sale section and it has
standard ppp 305bhp ecu set with full key set and barrel and sender unit for complete swap for only £120.
so if I can get a wrx one around that price it would be a start

Get a prodrive exhaust, panel filter, fuel pump and a remap that way you're still keeping it more or less oem plus a remap will be better than the rich prodrive map?

I'd have it like the sti, de cat up pipe, prodrive sports cat down pipe with second de cat pipe, centre section and the back box.

on a wrx its just a backbox, silicone y pipe to the intercooler and a map/chip to 261bhp.

If you have seen a prodrive ecu for 305bhp then that is for an sti and wont fit yours mate

I did the same to my old wrx. I just fitted the second decat pipe, prodrive back box and inter cooler hose after picking them up used. I then used a tactrix cable to flash the prodrive map myself. It can be done with a used ecu, but easiest option is fit the parts and have an open source map and you will probably spend about £500 all in. When I did mine as I flashed ecu myself it cost about £250, I got the prodrive map from a user on here I think.
