Range Rovers have a lot of niggly faults. Egr valves is a common issue.

Range rover needs to be a tdv8 or a petrol with gas conversion.

The air pump is a common problem

I had a TD6...pain in the ****!...air suspension pump failed twice, 2 air bags failed big style on separate occasions whilst travelling on the motorway at 70...not the most enjoyable experience, ECU that controls the lights failed and took about 2 weeks to get fixed as no one had the software old enough to be able to re-program the module, steering column motor failed twice, water ingress into the left rear corner of the boot where the amplifier/carputer etc is housed costing almost 2k to replace the electronics and plug the holes, new battery...the list is endless, but saying all that, the car was so capable off road, took it up the wayfarers among other places and it never missed a beat and never got stuck...just make sure you don't need to rely on it as a daily driver because you'll be disappointed.
