Default Injectors for 450bhp advice please

I am hoping to upgrade to a mdx321t soon, car is a widetrack blob, I think i will need injectors, but am unsure where or which ones to buy.

I know lateral do an exchange service, are these injectors any good, and will i need an fpr if I go for bigger injectors?

Ive already purchased a hrc fuel pump, I would like to fit everything at the same time if possible.

Thanks

Hi there

I would go with 750cc injectors with which you should be OK,we run them on our previous 2.1L and they're been OK at 490bhp(V-Power and 20% meth) and they're been OK above that figure too, when we run 25hp shot of NOS

FPR yes I would suggest too, best is Fuelab with which we are never have any problem, stay away from eBay brands

Hi there

Speak with Paul@Zen Performance I think they have their in the stock or if you can source WRX injectors and get them reflowed(reflowing cost around £160),reflowing doing Lateral Performance and few others companies

Jura what duty were you running at the above figures? I'd personally go with 800s as a minimum. Not only are you giving yourself headroom you also won't be going above 80 percent duty. Running injectors above this isn't advisable.

I've never seen reflowed STi Pink Injectors and on this I'm not 100% sure, but usually WRX 440cc can be reflowed up to 800cc(our has been reflowed to 750cc)

Hi there

At this figure we have around 88-91% IDC(Injectors Duty Cycle) at 2bar fuel pressure, after we are added swirl pot and extra 044 fuel pump,IDC has lowered to mid 80%

Those IDC we have only when we run meth and NOS,on V-power alone we are never have such IDC

Many people run higher IDC on their injectors without the issue, really depends

Does this really work?

Anybody here done it, if I can get away with standard injectors, I will try it.

That's what Lateral do or used to do. There was another user on here Millenium Racer who did the same thing. If you know what you're doing go for it.

Ive bought a set of these for my project, i spoke with mark from lateral and he basically said they work ok and have a good spray pattern, my car is an 05 sti with 2litre cdb, cosworth internals, using rotated gt3076r, walbro255 and these modded injectors hopefully to reach around 500-550bhp

Hi there

You will need bigger injectors,if you are looking at 550bhp,if not then you will need to at least to upgrade fuel pump to 044 and raise fuel pressure

You will see how you get on,but I would go probably with bigger injectors like ID1000 and bigger fuel pump(good option is Walbro 450LPH,this fuel pump selling Alyn@AS Performance )
