Default horrible noise at very low speed

We have a horrible loud noise coming from the wheel area of the car - only happens when the car is going very slow, rolling speed ,it sounds like something is old and rusty but I don't think thats the case.only way it goes a way for a while is- if I brake or speed up ,it never happens when car is going fast so never hear it on motorways, mostly happens around town and supermarket car parks anywhere when the car is slow around 10mph ..any help would be greatly appreciated cheers

I can't pal, have to take my grandmother shopping and the gf works in town lol. Any ideas what it could be really doing our heads in as the noise comes and goes.it definitely brake or wheel related as when we brake to slow down it goes when the brake pedal is pressed down and comes straight back as soon as its released

sounds to my untrained mind like brake pads rocking in the disk.

Probably a wheel bearing if it goes away on braking. Generally when you brake it straightens the wheel and sort of centres the bearing if you understand what I mean. Have seen it a few times.

Jack the car up and see is there any movement in the wheel.
