Hello all, Just like to say hello, I'm not a huge Subaru fan but my Mrs has just got one and I must admit I wished I'd bought one years ago, its great.

I reckon this must be a rare car because it is a one owner car (my brother) purchased December 2004, and has been garaged until June this year when we did a deal for my Mrs to have it. It is still registered in his name to keep it one owner and is totally untouched, never had any modifications, bought and serviced from original dealer and had just done....wait for it.....17k miles.
It was on 14k miles when we got it, it has the knocking rear shockers which I need to sort but other than that its like new, totally original. Are there many cars around similar to this ? (mileage wise) I can't seem to find any.
Its a bit thirsty on fuel and the mrs wants a Merc so it may be up for sale at some point, what do you reckon on value ?
It did originally have gold wheels but he had them painted when new as he didn't like them.

Anyway, I know the rules on joining forums.......pictures !!!!

That's a really nice example pal, seems a shame to keep it locked away for so long and then to be selling it so soon Will make someone a really nice car though if they keep it that way. Looking at the pics it looks like a V9 widetrack STi which seems to be the best one to have in the subaru range and with sub 20k miles on it should deffo be worth 11k plus in value in my opinion.

Welcome to the site, looks a nice car , I would get the belts done if they haven't as age can effect them as much as mileage. As above a sti 9 is one of the best main line imprezas

Thanks, what I was going to do was send it back to the main dealer to get the service book stamped (purely to keep it all matching) then send it to a specialist and get a load of age related work done. The supplying dealer didn't really have a clue when he first bought it and is only a small village outfit.
Any recommendations around the Northants area for a specialist ? I want all standard OEM parts to be used, none of this superior aftermarket stuff ! lol

If only it was a JDM, it would be worth a fortune!

Japanese Domestic Market - Basically the Jap version of the car. We get watered down versions over here, the JDM cars are far superior, and one with 14k on the clock in the condition of yours, dream come true!

Thank you, I have to agree (of course)
Its 46 years old, only two owners and has done 86k.
Its never been welded and all metalwork is original and rust free.
It has many mods and the classic purists look down on it (with their 'original' cars made from reproduction parts from taiwan)

Sounds like an excuse for more photos eh ?

I love the fact you are actually 'driving' it, sod the purists and their heated garage sunny sunday cars (with those replica parts )

Did you beat the Type R/P1 Impreza in the first photo?! what was your time?(1/4 mile drag i imagine?)
