On offer at the moment at halfords for £23.99 for 5 litres. This is the grade I use in my wife's Peugeot 107, but my scoob currently has Casttol Edge 5w30 so I want to stick to the grade that has been working.

Anyone use this oil?

I used to use Mobil 1 15w50 in my old STI I think this was a bit overkill as I never tracked it. Plus winter is on it's way so I feel this is the best grade.

5w 30 is what the owners manual and oilman would probably recommend, but personally I think its to thin!! I use 10w 40 in my 2.5 STi. and my mate uses 10w 50 in his modified WRX!!!

I did loads of re-search on oil on here and it gave me a headache, from people's different opinions, but I took the advice of people who build these engines for a living and most will recommend 10w 40!!

I was under the impression that it was the classic engines that preferred thick oil?

Euro car parts currently have a 50% off sale so should be cheaper than this,
I use 10w-40 shell helix in mine and change every six months

Not when I asked at my local store yesterday. £37 list but they offered to knock £5 off.

Euro are cheaper online, then just click and collect from your store.
