Default Wheel fitment question

Will 18x9.5 et30 with 225/40/18 tyres fit a blobeye widetrack without any issues?

if they will this is my dilema..

Do I,

A. Get the set of Rota GTR's in gloss black to go on my 05 widetrack.

B. get a set of silver xxr527's

Think you would have arch to tyre issues with that offset mate. Unless you ran alot of camber. You don't really want an et less than 35. 5mm might not sound much but it will make a big difference. Mine are the same spec but et 38 and only just clear, although mine is non-widetrack it won't make any difference

I suppose they don't wear down too bad when the car sits still in the garage!

LOL. I know your pain. Same thing with my Scoob as an every day car. BUT on the up said I drive it every day! Love it!

I'd like to see a pic of yours when the camber bolts are fitted and adjusted. Is it likely to tuck ok?

Well I am buying LUCKO's xxr's now which are the same as yours tubs.

I have a bit of negative camber at the moment. This has been set on my coilovers top mounts. Has yours been set the same and still needed camber bolts?

no it wasnt set, the bolts cured it in all but extreme cases. as i said above my car is an everyday car and i car share for work and it only caught when i had two grown men in the back.

a slight roll cured it but id say i could have lifted the ride height slightly but that would spoil the look of the car so i did it the hard way

Mine is my daily driver also, and I live around some bumpy roads, im hoping my top mount camber will be enough, otherwise I have some camber bolts living on top of the fridge.

I cant see the pics of yours on your wheel thread.
Fancy sticking a pic up of your ride height?

I dont have any rubbing issue on my STi and im running 9.5 inch wide Rotas's and my car is pretty low on coilovers, and I use my car everyday!!

Sometimes it depends on the tyres you choose, certain tyres such as Pirelli P-zero, Bridgestones etc have a hard sidewall and go straight and then flat at the top, put them next to a set of Vredestein tyres and you can see that the Vresestein curve at the top, which is why I think ive had no issues with rubbing yet!!

This is a side pic of my car, with 18x9.5 lowered on eibach coilovers, no camber bolts, no arches rolled or pulled, and using a 5mm spacer on the front wheels(to clear Brembos) and 225/40/18 vredestein ultra sessanta's

Going to try and get it a bit lower at the rear in the next few weeks!!

Yeah you will be ok 18x8.75 XXR's have been done quite a bit and no one has had major problems with them, got another mate(Maydew) on here who is also running XXR's on his blob and he has had no issues, but he did roll the rears on a non-widetrack mode, car lowered on springsl!!

pics can be found here!!
