strange engine noise?

Default strange engine noise?
2005 sti. My car makes a strange noise when I put my foot down...into the 100's it makes a wining noise. Anybody have any idea what this is?

Higher the rpm the louder the whine will be, it happened on mine .
Sourced a decent 2nd hand unit and problem solved
