Default Past MOT but.....

Just had my classic turbo in for an MOT and it passed

However it was in for a new rear outer cv boot before and now my abs light is on?

Has anyone got any idea what's going on or what the garage may have done to cause the light going on?

It did go out for about 2 minutes when I was driving but the brake pedal went kind of notchy(if that's a word!!)

It's going back into the garage tomorrow to get looked at but I would like to "suggest" what might be wrong!!

Thanks

Dave

Oh it's a uk x reg with one pots on the rear

I'm hoping they've not damaged anything!! Could it just be out of position and would it effect my brakes?

Thanks again

Dave

It may just be some grease from the cv joint that has found it's way onto the sensor, or maybe the sensor hasn't been plugged back in after they finished doing the boot.. Equally the reluctor ring may have been damaged or knocked.
Yes it will affect your brakes, it's purpose is to sense when the wheel locks and activate the anti lock braking system. As well as control cruise control on vehicles fitted with it.
