How deep are ur pockets is Basicly what it boils down to, wether u want new or used ?
But if u want a nice set set up ( not the best ) then maybe a set of bc coilovers and a k sport / d2 set up, unless u have open cheque book

Aye not after mega power going for an md321h with supporting mods for a fast going road car anymore and it would be pointless i think.

What you need to start with is how much money (budget) that you want to spend on this part of your project,as there are numerous parts and combinations you can fit to achieve the desired results and still have very good cornering and stopping power. But the BC coilovers that has already been suggested works well on my car so I can recommend them first hand, the brakes is always a topic for debate but I have tried so much different combinations now first hand especially on the Impreza that I know what works,A set of STI gold Brembo calipers with the Performance friction two piece disc and pads is all you would rarely need to stop your car I have used this set up for the last 7 years on my car which was running 400+ bhp on a Newage STI.and they proved to be one of the best brake set ups that I have used, even my mate Anger was using them on his Subaru Impreza Newage STI (STORM TROOPER)with 560 bhp on a 2.35 and said they worked well on his car and he used the PF setup on track and at the RING and never faded them.SJ.

I've got the BC coilovers which are decent enough for the money, next time I'll be going with KW's.

As for brakes I've got the AP for pot calipers and like SJ would recommend the PF discs and pads for an awesome set up.

When I was running around 400 in my close ratio RA box it probably felt as fast as the 480(ish) I have just now with the longer ratio box.

iv got a type r running about that power on the mdx321h turbo ,
just got standard suspension with tein springs ,works very well
also newage front and rear brembo's
also work very well
my advice buy good 2nd hand ,as you never get your money back with mods at least good 2nd will still be nearly worth what you payed when/if you want to sell

I'll go with this as well, my AP's were bought second hand years ago and have been good as new. As long as it's decent brands you buy second hand there should be no problem.

One of the best things I've bought second hand is my stainless exhaust, I've had it on two cars and owned it since 2005, best £100 quid ever spent on a car!

Also running just over 400 on a type r, I've fitted bc coilovers and for the money they have been pretty good. I fitted the godspeed 335 kit as well which is Ok for road use, yet to try them on track

Just don't forget about the rear brakes.

I bought these for the fronts http://www.powerstation.org.uk/porsche_brakes.asp and they are awesome! However, the rears now need doing and i have to decide whether i want to replace the rear diff and hubs, buy specially made discs or buy an adapter kit from godspeed to fit the rear brembos.

I paid £900 for used AP 4 pots which included new rotors, blue stuff pads and braded hoses, just keep your eye out on eBay. I am too looking for 380bhp plus in my version 5 type r, got most of the parts in the garage to fit, just finishing off the handling mods.

Second hand Alcon/prodrive calipers with performance friction two piece rotors - see Alyn aka Stockcar of AS Performance on here.

They work very well on my 500bhp p1 / type R along with the brembos on the back end.

Exe tc coil overs are good too, but unfortunately are no longer made for GC 8s
