Default Mark7wrx - Con Artist

Hi guys

firstly let me say im not really a poster on this forum , i merely joined to buy some parts..

Ok, so a couple of months back this guy Mark7wrx puts up a wanted thread for a Defi Controller for use with defi gauges.

Out of goodwill i offered one to him at a reasonable price.. after a bit of haggling he accepted and made the payment to me..

long story short he claims the Controller was not working after a week. coincidentally he claimed it had the same fault as his previous controller..

now please note the defi controller was Fully working Before it was sent out as the gauge set had just been removed from the car the previous day.

anyway so i offered a refund on return of the item.. 10 days or so later he opens a paypal claim , saying that he posted the item out to me but i never refunded him , paypal asked for proof of this and surprise surprise he didnt have a tracking number.. so another 10 days or so later he ACTUALLY posts the item out.

But i never received the controller i originally sent out , he switched it with his old faulty controller !!!

i am now out of pocket and all i have to show for it is a fancy paperweight ..

Serves me right for trying to help out others

AVOID any sort of selling or buying with Mark7wrx

What you will find is my old faulty controller as you put it is still in my possession with sticky pads on it does the one you have look like that?
Also the protective front plastic on mine was removed shortly after buying it does yours have a protective cover? The serial number is it the same as the one you sent? Before comiting slander have a think about it. Also I have not had a refund but you have your controller back so who is out of pocket????

Don't be stupid mate ,, your full of **** ,, first you said you posted it when you clearly didn't

I still have pictures of mine !! I can remember exactly where the marks were and the wiring sent out with it
You know what you've done , it all makes sense now actually , you were haggling over a fiver , I should have left the deal there tbh

I'm not in a position to say who's in the right or wrong here but how can people be bothered with the aggravation, do they not have anything else in their lives to worry about. These forums are meant for car enthusiasts and they try to build a community of trust where people can come on show their pride and joy, buy and sell without any problems. You hear so many stories about buying/selling going wrong on forums something has to be done to protect the honest person.

I would agree with you here , but theres a principle involved , its not really about the money as it wasnt much in the first place , but it winds me up that someone is trying to pull a fast one on me !!

You cant even sell anything safely anymore , never mind buying

Had the same problem a few years ago, I sent a turbo out that was removed from my car fully working with no problems what so ever, inspected it and it was mint, sent it out and got a message a few days later saying that the turbo was faulty, and that he wanted a full refund, I could not prove that the turbo was not mine as I didnt get the serial numbers or mark it etc.
Anyway the honest person I am, I gave him a full refund for the turbo except the postage, and I got the same sort of thread as this about me and also got a negative feedback score. Learned my lesson and now put a little mark or get a some sort of code etc on any parts I send out!!!

I always uv mark my stuff when I sell on eBay or Onlineand photograph the markings before sending and record serial numbers. Had someone try this with a play station on eBay I only had it a few months from new sold it got a message few days later saying yellow death light was on. Guy sent me back a totally different machine with no uv markings on it. PayPal awarded the case to me as I hAd the photos and serial numbers to prove.
