Default Do you own a badly modified Subaru?

Given the number of Subarus I see out and about I'm wondering if we can figure out how many of them are badly modified.

So the question is quite simple, do you own a badly modified Subaru or not?

If it's something they have done to their own car, they aren't gonna say it's badly modified are they ... even though it probably is

Aimed at all of Tubbys friends?

Nobody who mods thier cars thinks they are making them worse. ( well at least i would hope they dont )

When I got the car it was a 225bhp PPP! It had a panel filter and blitz nurspec that hadn't been mapped for and a scoobyclinic ECU reset receipt stating run the car on 99 from now on!

I had the car compression tested and it's 50% down on cylinder 1 and 15% down on cylinder 3! I bought an engine block and decided to kill the current engine, to help matters along I fitted a bigger TMIC and decatted up-pipe, for 3 years I've thrashed the hell out of it and hit the rev limiter constantly, the bugger has not died so I've sold the spare engine and had Billy mapped for reliability.

It flies through emissions and tuners state the fueling is spot on, no knock and the car feels normal.

Surely it depends on what you personally class as bad 'mods'??

For me, anyone with brightly coloured 'track' alloys, wing stiffi's', any aftermarket steering wheel, fake roof vents or anything carbon dipped on their car has modified it badly.

Well I know for a fact mine would be one of the top ones for badly modified, but I didn't mod my car for anyone else but myself and I did all my own work.

Where do I start??? First my car was badly tuned from the factory as it had a 2.5 fitted with chocolate pistons(mine doing ok with 50k miles, but some on here haven't-guess im lucky so far)

2nd of all I got the stretched tyres on wide wheels look yo!! not everyone likes that look, but I do love 225/40/18 stretched on 9.5 inch rims!!

3rd ive copied the RA-R grill by adding a 4mm pin stripe around the centre grill, yes its a cheap Halfords pin stripe that cost me £5, again some will hate it, but again I like it.

4th ive got scoobyclinic stickers on my rear windows, but my car has never been there, but I like the stickers.

think that's it???

But I have changed the horrible lexus hawk lights for a set of blob rear lights, and took the horrible dump valve off that was on there and put a re-circ one back on!!! hopefully I have evened it out with so called bad mods, with good mods!!!

Guilty of owning a chav valve, tbh I think it's just car forum members who hate them as the rest of the public seem to love them. Same for 6x9's, why the hell people with performance cars bang on about sound quality when the speakers have to compete against tire, traffic, dash squeaks and exhaust noise I'll never know.

Mine's badly modified. I've added Toyo TR-1 tyres, but left the original 2 pot front brakes...

If it look like its been driven through a Halfords shop window and or has been "modded" with parts that offer no performance gains or made worse.

Thankfully Mine isn't badly modified lol. Although my winter wheels with snow tyres on which save my decent summer wheels from being damaged may be border line badly modified as they are bright orange lol
