Jolly Green Monster
Browsing JGM while waiting for a client website to upload and realised that the current image and logo on JGM wouldn't translate well to print, marketing material, stickers etc...
So, seeing as I had a few minutes spare, had a little play with logo ideas lol
The things you do when you're bored eh

AFAIK You can't copyright a word or colour, unless of course the word is specific to you.
i.e: not the word monster and not the colour green, even though this green is a different rga/hex colour.
I think the case with MFK is more regarding the 'M' symbol.

Yes, as I said, unless its specific to your company or product, which that is.
For instance, Bob's Gearboxes, Bob's Windows, I don't think either could protect 'Bob'.

But i still think even if you where actually called Ronald Macdonald you would struggle to open a hamburger joint under that name without Macdonalds sending you a cease and desist letter

The Orange phone logo, (just a block of orange) is trademarked as a colour, as is the purple that Cadbury use.
Copyright applies to "Works" i.e. art, writing, videos, etc. Trademarks apply to "marks".

He's right, they would struggle to copyright them. Unfortunately however, you can Trademark both a word and a colour. So for example, you would trademark the word "monster" in several categories like food and drink. Then if some bright spark invents a new drink and tries to associate it with the word "monster" in all likelihood it would be Trademark infringement.
