Default ah, thats done it.... new gearbox please...

ok, so on the way home after a ****ty day at work, my day got even better when the gearbox didn't like it up em...

think I have lunched second gear, as it got stuck in it with no drive... managed to get it out of gear but it wont select anything now, and for a while wouldn't idle with foot off the clutch.

got a mate to tow me home and it was making various noises etc all the way... bag of spanners comes to mind lol.

so, if I get another box, what involved to make it rear wheel drive?

might go that route as it pretty boring in awd!

just weld up the centre diff, leave the joints in the box and front hubs but remove the shafts??

cheers!

Hmm, thought it might handle a bit more power in rwd.

I wonder how hard it is to fit a skyline box.... Hmmm

you crying now over breaking your gearbox........what ya gonna do when you over do it on a wet bend and end up in a ditch

rwd is fun i admit BUT as an everyday car on these roads its not the type of car that inspires confidence when driving hard

Thats just silly. Tyres are more important than anything else on a car. Its your contact with the road, and your safety, and that of other road users.

I think budget tyres should be banned, if a person cant afford good tyres, they cant afford a car

I totally agree mate, i was trying to wear them out, like today it was wet, 5k rpm and launch lol.

Usually it just lights up the linglong/sunfuls and i get a nice slide on. But today the revs were a bit higher pmsl and it didnt like it up em.

Agree 100%. Good tyres can make or break a cars handling characteristics.
