Default What would you do?

A few months back I was looking a getting a prodrive gear **** and found the site below;

I registered with them and went through the shopping process until the payment page, at which point I logged out and never paid for it.

I then received an email telling me my order was processed awaiting payment. I just ignored this as I couldn't justify the price.

Yesterday I received a UPS tracking number from this company then today I got knock at the door! It was ups with a delivery with a prodrive gear **** inside with no remitence or any paperwork ??!!

What would you do?

It depends how honest you are. Accepting the goods knowing you haven't paid for them is theft.

I can understand a mistake and keeping the item as it's of low value but as for reedy107 trying his luck for some free goods, that's disgusting. Would you help yourself to the contents of someone's car if they left the door unlocked? It's exactly the same.

I once went in to a shop for a watch which was a gift (circa £100) and the new girl failed to put the payment through correctly. I checked my balance a few weeks later and noticed it didn't come out - I thought at the time she looked a bit flustered. So, I went back and paid up. The manageress was very thankful and told me the girl who processed it felt terrible as they narrowed it down to her error. The previous day her best friend was run over and she was out of sorts, plus being new (it was her first day) hence the error. By way of a thank you I was offered 25% off my next purchase . . . sorted. Do the right thing, as there is normally a real person who is on the end of a bollocking. If someone found my wallet I'd hope they'd hand it in and not simply nick the money and go down the finders keepers route. Theft is theft no matter how you dress it up. But some can live with it. Your choice.

Well other than announcing on a public forum that you were about to go thieving then deleting it to cover your tracks, nothing I suppose.

Someone once gave me some sound words of 'life advice' - Always do what is right.

Must admit that this advice has served me well over many years.
