Decent RB5 on Ebay
Hi All,
Thought I'd stick this up as came across it on Ebay and don't see too many RB5's for sale now, plus I know there's always people looking for decent classics on here!
Looks generally pretty good to me, needs a little bodywork and shame that the wheels aren't the originals, but still the APi engine spec looks good (Bob Rawle remap) and has PSI3 etc, probs not a long way off price wise either.

Lol agreed, I've seen a proper ropey RB5 with lots of rust and almost double the mileage go for 2k, there's defo a strong market for them. Assuming the rust on this one is just the one arch I'd say this is worth 4k. A nice spec really

So you would both rather have a rusty turbo2000 than spend less on a nice v3/4/5 sti or a type r. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Imp...item1e84b404b9 just as a quick 30second search, I would have this and spend the change on decent brake setup, few handling mods.

Worth remembering that just because its an import doesn't mean it doesn't rust though, not like the jap cars are galvanised ;-) that particular car could well of been in this country as long as the RB5 is old and therefore just as rusty. Plus its obviously been px'd and there's sod all info on history etc, I'd be surprised if it's not a dog :-)

Yes I respect your views, I guess we all have different ideas of decent classics, I'm not doubting the white one might have issues but it was just a quick search as a example.
