I need a computer nerd pls.
Could someone please be so kind as to guide me through reducing the size of a picture to change my avatar pic. It's been around 8 years since I did the last one. Lol
Thanks in advance.

If not you should be able to do it via paint, just open your pic in paint, you should have the option to resize at the top, click this then switch to pixels and put in the numbers you need for the avatar

Right click pic then open in paint. click re-size and a box will open. Where is says 100 in width and hight, if you put 50 it will be half the size ect. it's a %. Just click the close after and it will ask if you want to save. Click yes but be warned, this size will replace the original pic size. If you want to keep the pic in original size copy the pic first and save it somewhere so you only open 1 with paint.

Probably a bit late now, but depending on the version of Paint you can select pixels or a percentage but as said pixels is the one you want.
However, ensure that you select 'Maintain Aspect Ratio', otherwise it comes out looking like it was taken in a hall of mirrors .
As also mentioned, copy it first and use the copy as the guinea pig.
Open it with Paint.
Click File....Save As... (it will show where it is and what it's named) add eg. 'avatar' to the end of the name and click OK.
You can now carry on to your heart's content because you're no longer working on the original.

Just go here mate: http://www.picresize.com
Click browse, locate the image on your computer you want to use, it will upload. Click continue.
The next screen has a few options, option 2 is the resizing, select custom and enter the size you want.
Click I'm Done.
You can then view/download the resized image.
Easy.
