Default Best Future Classic?

I notice things like Escorts and Mini Coopers are rocketing into mad £££'s nowadays. Minis I sold for £3000 are now £30,000.

What do you reckon the best Impreza for a future classic / investment?

Rally replicas maybe?

cheers.

I think the P1 will shoot up as they get rare.
2005 STI has a good shout.

22b followed by a standard P1

But all unmolested classics should start to creep up as there is not many left now
Thanks to the dump valve / stickers brigade

Hmmm, not sure about the P1. 1000 wasn't it? I doubt many have been tracked, or written off.

My WR1 will be worth loads when 300 more have bitten the dust. The P1 will always command a premium, as will the type ra and anything litchfield. An RB320 wouldn't be a bad choice to buy and stick in the garage.

The models you mention are desirable cars bit will never command the high prices never mind the road presence of any model 22b uk or import.
P1 maybe in a few years but not many 100 percent originals left .rb320 just a bit of suspension upgrades and fancy badging not that special.

To be fair though it's not about commanding a premium, it's about being a bona fide 'classic'.

WR1s, P1s, RB320s, GB270s, Spec Cs, Terzos, RB5s, Catalunyas, T20s, T25s, Cosworths etc. etc. all may command various premiums over the cooking models and all may be good cars, but in 50 years time the Impreza everyone will seek out is the 22B and it will be the only one fetching silly money when that time comes. It has the looks, the heritage, the exclusivity and is the most iconic of the Impreza models..... a true 'classic car'!

P.S. None of which makes your car a bad car, but hopefully you get what I am saying!
